Moss growing behind my ears, moss for brains, hiding under moss: lots of mossy metaphors are coming to mind as I ponder recent Portland weather and my current inertia. Perhaps contemplating moss itself will help.

Licorice fern. Gorgeous.
I had forgotten how beautiful the moss in Forest Park is until we hiked there last weekend. It was a great antidote to the winter doldrums. And I adore licorice ferns.
