I planted fifteen pounds of organic garlic last October and finished harvesting it this morning. Given that my soil needs more improvement (mostly a few more years of working in organic matter), I’m pleased with the results.
Two Northwest heirlooms:

- Inchelium Red

- Nootka Rose
I’m curing some of the garlic under the roof of the yurt porch:

- Georgian Crystal Purple, Nootka Rose, and Persian Star
I also have German Porcelain on the porch, Chesnok Red under the yurt, and Spanish Roja (harvested several weeks ago) in the kitchen.
Now I’d like to learn how to braid the softneck garlic. Any tips?

Oh, Liz. These are gorgeous! Thank you for posting these photos.
Thanks, Deb. I must admit I’m pretty proud of my first serious effort at growing garlic.
