A sore throat, stuffy nose and cough inspire me to play with images instead of words today. Okay, there are some words, but not too many.
Django and I headed out to the Sandy River Delta a few days ago. We go there at least once a week when we’re in Portland and have seen bald eagles every time since late January. This is usually all I capture of them on camera:
Bald Eagle Speck
Some bald eagles perch in cottonwoods next to Maya Lin’s art installation,”Confluence Bird Blind” — part of the Lewis and Clark bicentennial celebration. it’s great bald eagles have made such a come back. Maybe we’ll see condors around here someday too. Lewis and Clark did write of hunting them along the Columbia. Thanks for starting that trend, guys!

Since I have so much trouble capturing birds on camera, I just went with clouds the other day:

Django has more earthly obsessions.
